Who is he?
DN is an Argentine multidisciplinary artist, filmmaker and photographer whose work spans directing and creative roles across both personal and collaborative projects. Shaped by years immersed in Buenos Aires’ cultural scene, his practice combines cinematic experimentation with a poetic approach to image-making.
biography
DN was raised in a small Argentine town before moving to Buenos Aires in his twenties, where he consolidated his first music project, the electropop duo Ambar. Over a decade, the band released three studio albums and toured nationally, immersing DN in the vibrant cultural landscape of 2000s Argentina and connecting him with a wide network of artists across disciplines. This period anchored his early explorations in multimedia performance, music production and collaborative creation.
After Ambar dissolved, DN shifted his focus to design, joining cultural and educational initiatives while cultivating a self-taught practice in photography and filmmaking that gradually expanded into commissioned and collaborative work, shaping his visual sensibilities. Over years of experience and travel across Europe and South America, he developed a visual language in which light, distance, minimalism, and contemplation are central motifs. Through analog and digital processes, he reimagines landscapes and everyday situations as spaces suspended between reality and perception, inviting viewers into silent, intimate realms where contemplation slows time and the familiar becomes subtly unreal.
Today, DN runs Lichen Films, dedicated to filmmaking and audiovisual production. His practice is driven by an experimental curiosity for hybrid film processes and interventions, to reconsider photography through a freshly reframed lens.

Online museum dedicated exclusively to digital art. A source of information to learn about its first manifestations, contemporary movements, and specific issues. As a Non-profit Organization, the Museum is focused on education, a space open to exchange and collaboration.
